Bakewell Show
The town is famous for its annual agricultural and horticultural show, which is one of the oldest in the country. Held on the first Wednesday and Thursday in August, it is staged on its own 32-acre ground close to the town centre. The show has a spectacular programme of events and displays, making it a great day out for everyone.
Bakewell Carnival
Every year in June/ July, Bakewell Carnival culminates in a large procession through the town, but the week leading up to it is jam-packed with events to watch and enjoy. There’s a 5-a-side football tournament, dog races, a raft race, welly & wheelbarrow race, the day of dance, and much more to entertain the entire family.
